I want more land...

I want to buy a large block - put a sala home high on the hill and create a food-forest on keyline-swales below.

Our suburban garden is good fun. It's 50% perenials & 50% chicken assisted high maintenance veggies. I'm thinking of making that 75% perenials though - they self mulch, are drought hardier, require less labour & are more productive. It's the labour intensive stuff that gets to me. Lettuce, Bok Choy, Beans, Tomotoes they all taste great, but I don't think you need a lot of them - 1/2 of what I plant fails through lack of water and maintenance. I reckon the best part of gardening is picking passionfruits fresh off the vine & eating them right there & then!

While I mull over where I find this block of land (it doesn't have to be fertile), I watch a lot of these videos....

Maybe it should be in Thailand..... (Example 1 - Example 2)

A really hot day!
